Automatic Gearbox Servicing

It’s only recently that vehicle manufacturers have started to recommend servicing automatic gearboxes and changing the automatic transmission fluid. It’s recommended that this is changed every 30-40,000 miles as part of routine maintenance and also because many automatic gearbox faults can actually be corrected by flushing out and refilling the oil.

At Hilton Road Garage we are pleased to be able to offer Brain Bee AGC8280 fully-automated automatic gearbox flushing and refilling at our workshop in Newton Aycliffe, a specialist service which drains off 100% of the old gearbox oil, flushes through the system to remove dirt and debris, then refills the gearbox with the correct grade and quantity of transmission oil. This is vastly superior to the majority of automatic gearbox services which generally drain off no more than 60% of the old oil.
